Slitherine Software was created on the 4th of July 2000 and is a privately funded and independent UK developer and publisher. Since launching its Slitherine Strategies brand the company has released numerous historical strategy games including Legion, Legion Gold, Chariots of War, Spartan, Gates of Troy, Legion Arena and Cult of Mithras, Commanders Europe at war and in collaboration with The History Channel The History Channel®Great Battles of Rome. Slitherine has sold over a million units through its worldwide distribution network. Further historical titles are in development.
